Accelerator programs provide support in education, networking support, product develoment and even working space and introductions to venture capitalists for funding. These can be 'seed accelerators' or more in depth in context, but they are not limited to high tech anymore!
Dairy Farmers of America has an effective Accelerator program as do many other companies and enterprises around the globe including Chobani (a US yogurt brand), Square One in Australia and the Grocery Accelerator and Hatchery in the UK.
According to a recent blog in dairyindustries.com, "...if you're a small company, it may be a good plan to get looking and see what larger firms have to offer you in order to incubate and grow your ideas. There is benefit from both sides, if it's done right."
