School milk programs have been implemented in many countries around the globe. Research has shown that these programs are in place for good reason. School milk helps to address issues of malnutrition and encourage healthy eating habits. Due to the pandemic, unfortunately, many kids have not had access to school milk (and evolving economic situations make it challenging for their parents to include this item in their family’s grocery list).
Quite a few dairies in the USA have made it a mission to provide fluid milk, yogurt and cheese to Food Banks, so hopefully the kids have some reasonable access to the significant nutrition that dairy products bring to them.
